Hi, my name is Cameron. I am an aspiring Software Developer, thoroughly interested in Software Development and Artificial Intelligence and wish to pursue a career in this field. I can solve problems using my passion for intuitive programming and my drive to learn new skills. I have just finished studying at Ron Dearing UTC, a Technological College in Hull, revolving around Engineering and Digital Technology.
The course I took was a Level 3 BTEC Nationals in Computing, and I achieved a D*D*D; equivalent to A*A*A. Within this course, I learnt about a variety of topics, including: the Principles and Fundamentals of Computer Science, Web, App, and Game Development, IT System Security & Encryption, and Managing & Supporting Systems. Now that I have completed this course, I'm now going onto Higher Education, in which I'll be enrolled at the University of Hull, studying BSc Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence, along with a year in industry, which will allow me to boost my CV, and potentially land my first job within the industry.
I have always been fascinated by technology since my early school days, exploring its practical applications to simplify daily life. Whether it's by making a small Python script to search the web for information, or creating something new and innovative with C# or some other programming language.
I started to really enjoy programming when I was 14, when I started to learn Python in my own time, as well as in education. I was able to create small programs to solve problems, which gave me a sense of accomplishment, and I wanted to learn more. I then started to learn C#, allowing me to create more complex and useful programs. There was this feeling I got from programming that I couldn't get from anything else, and I wanted to keep learning more.
During my time at Ron Dearing UTC, I have had the oppurtunity to work on a variety of projects, both in and out of school, some even with real clients and companies partnered with the college.
